Multiple Course Plated Dinner
2023 Terms & Conditions
Pacific Modern Plated Courses
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
A 7-course formal, plated dinner is roughly $245/person (includes food costs, prep, service and kitchen clean up) – final cost is dependent on protein selected, market price, and number of guests.
Please provide the time you would like first course to be served.
Since we are a small business we provide the dinnerware for each course, but we ask that our clients provide the flatware, glasses, and any other tableware, and set the table as they would like (typically our clients have a preference for this).
Chef handles kitchen clean up and would be happy to handle washing of flatware (as cleared), but we ask that Clients handle the remainder of table clearing and washing, including water and wine glasses.
We ask that you provide maximum refrigerator space prior to Pacific Modern's arrival to ensure smooth organization.
For general hygiene and work convenience, we ask that all pets be kept out of the kitchen during the entire prep and dinner time.
Please note that all dishes may change slightly according to produce availability. Photos on website are reference only and may be plated differently.
Chef brings all supplies needed for prepping and cooking.
Chef typically arrives 4-5 hours (at Client’s home) prior to service for prep.
We cannot provide or serve alcohol, but happy to provide wine pairing suggestions, if interested.
An individual printed menu will be provided. Please ensure each guest keep their menu in front of them during the service so there is no confusion based on any food allergies or intolerances.
No external food will be cut, cooked, or treated by Pacific Modern.
Pacific Modern will be cooking on your equipment. Please note that is important to provide a clean enough oven and grill in order to cook foods appropriately.
Depending on the size and complexity of your event, Pacific Modern will determine they will bring a sous chef.
Please note that Pacific Modern will not manage any external staff, but feel free to source and hire additional staff or help for your needs.
Since we are not a full catering service and the Chef is focused on the food we do not serve water, coffee or other beverages.
Full payment due on day of event (cash or check accepted).
Your agreed consent and signature on our website provides that you have read and agreed to the entire Terms and Conditions. Event confirmation and your date is also secured and is now subject to cancellation fees, change in number of guests, or menu edit policies.
Guest Cancellations: Because we have reserved this date for you, other clients are unable to book (nor are they able to book the day before or after because of prep time required). A cancellation fee is charged unless we are notified 7 days prior to your scheduled event date. Cancellation fees equal 50% of the agreed upon service price.
Change in number of guests: Because of food costs and prep time incurred, if you reduce the number of guests less than 72 hours prior to your event, you will be charged 50% for the cost of those guests. If guest count decreases the day of the event, you will be charged 100% for that guest.
Chef illness/ injury policy: In the event of an illness, injury, or positive COVID test result, I reserve the right to cancel the event and reschedule at a later date. We will fully refund and reschedule. There will not be a substitute chef.
Menu Requests and Edits: All final menu edits or submissions must be made five (5) days prior to the client's service date so the chef has the proper time to plan, prepare and shop for the client's meals. Any last-minute menu changes will be subject to an additional fee.
