Chef Brittany Ripka
Born in Orange County, California, and moving to McCall, Idaho, and back to southern California from Ontario down to San Diego, my connection and respect for food began at the age of 12. I have an extensive background that started with my training at the age of 16 at Gianni's in Oceanside, flipping pizza's and connecting with customers solidified my passion for the culinary field, and led to wonderful opportunities in Carlsbad, La Costa, Rancho Santa Fe, Mission Bay, and downtown San Diego. For the past 20 years, I have worked side by side with some of the most talented chefs in the industry, and I have cooked at several notable restaurants, including Kitchen1540 in Del Mar and The Grant Grill, a part of a Luxury Collection Hotel, as well as leading the teams at La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla, and George's at the Cove, and The Park Hyatt Hotel, Aviara. Now as a personal chef, I blend my wisdom, devotion and experience into every dish I create.
Classically trained in French cuisine, I embrace refined techniques, and careful preparation with local and seasonal ingredients. My passion for food comes from my love of fresh ingredients and unique flavor combinations.
